Modbus RTU Base Controller for Terminator I/O
A Terminator Field I/O system is made up of the following components: 1 or more power supplies (depending on your power budget), a network interface module (Base Controller), and I/O modules.
Terminator I/O supports up to 16 I/O modules per node (network interface module). Multiple nodes can be connected to a master (PLC or PC).
Modbus RTU slave
The Terminator I/O MODBUS network interface module allows you to connect I/O as a slave station on a MODBUS RTU network.
Simply create a point-to-point network or create a multidrop network using the RS232, RS422/RS485 HD-15 Modbus port.
The T1K-MODBUS can communicate with any MODBUS RTU network master using high-level MODBUS commands.
In most applications, the Modbus master polls the slaves individually (T1K-MODBUS) to read/write each slave's I/O. The communication between the Modbus master and slave will often be asynchronous to the master CPU scan. For this reason, applications should be limited to those that do not require the I/O points to update every master CPU scan.
